This is an EXTREMELY RARE 19" antique bisque head German character designed by Grace Corry Rockwell circa 1920's. She is completely and deeply incised on the back of her neck Copr By/Grace C. Rockwell/Germany . She is on her original mint cloth body with heavy and beautifully designed composition arms and legs in pristine condition. THIS particular example is considered even rarer and more extraordinary because of the FANTASTIC distinction of having RED painted and molded hair!!! This positively dynamic hair coloring along with her HUGE magnificent brown sleep eyes give her a wonderful unique palette in presentation! Both upper and lower very long and precisely painted eyelashes emphasize this wide-eyed look making it even more spectacular, as well as the distinctive VERY pale and almost translucent painting of her eyebrows. Her closed mouth is also very inimitable in shape as the lower lip is thinner than the quite plump upper lip and painted a GORGEOUS peachy color. The painting of her cheek color is absolute perfection, giving her entire face a luminous child-like quality, as would be the face pf an actual child!
Along with all her other choice attributes, as said she is a fabulous LARGE 19" in height, she wears her wonderful factory original little girl's flowered dress, underwear, socks and shoes that still retain each of their original silver buckles! And in fact, one of the flowers used in the print of the frock matches the color of her hair which adds so much creativity to her entire look and presence. Her molding is crisp with glorious attention to detail.
This example is peerless: not only because of the absolute rarity of this mold, but for all her superb added qualities specific only to her!
