Sensational 10" French All Bisque
This is a VERY early and extremely choice example of an All Bisque, another example of which, can be found, pictured, and discussed in Angione's book "All Bisque and Half Bisque Dolls." Suzanne is 10" tall, extremely RARE, and her modeling and QUALITY is positively fantastic. Because of her very youthful yet sophisticated look, very reminiscent of the rarest most superb examples of the earliest French fashions, and unique body styling, she is sometimes called an All Bisque "child fashion."
The bisque on Suzanne is VERY pale and totally FLAWLESS, with mild blushing on her cheeks, and the painting of her closed mouth is fantastic, as it is of a VERY pale pink,(which is always a coup), and outlined. Her paperweight eyes are extremely almond shaped and of the most extraordinary color, like a very pale blue/green, which can also be found on other fine early French, and are heavily outlined in black, surrounded by the finest flurry of upper and lower lashes, and highlighted by very thin feathered eyebrows, again a trait of other early fine French bebes. She has pierced ears, original turquoise earrings, and a kid lined swivel neck.
Her body sculpting is incredible, expertly proportioned, with attention to details such as molded breasts, and an indented belly-button. She has exquisitely formed long and thin but muscular arms and legs, defined knees and elbows, thighs and calves, with exquisite hands that have separate thumbs and every finger separately molded, to tiny beautiful wrists, and bare feet, that also have beautifully molded separated toes, and thin ankles.
Her lambs wool wig is original, and her ensemble is fabulous! It consists of layers and layers of original fine white cottons and the beautiful laces that trim everything, including long flared sleeves, each skirt, the collar, he bodice, all still have the minute pearl buttons that connect EVERY layer to the next, all the way through the final layer, which is the very flouncy one piece undergarment, which is also still attached with the divine original tiny pearly buttons!!!
She has tiny white silk stockings and divine pale blue leather shoes with the original blue silk ties and gold ornaments. Perfect.
