Rare Version Of Baby Bo Kaye

This wonderful character designed by Joseph Kallus and made in Germany in the 1920’s is usually seen as an all bisque model, with molded hair. This version, with a bisque head, open crown and wig, on a composition body is a rare and most desirable find! Aside from that, it’s outrageously adorable! She measures 9” tall, has blue sleep eyes, upper and lower finely painted lashes, and those soft looking “smudgy” eyebrows. The DEEPEST punched-in dimples, and cheeks so fat, they seem to end in a square! Her pate and wonderful strawberry blonde mohair wig is original, coiffed in soft bangs and very long braids. Her mouth is beautifully painted and molded slightly open with 2 square bottom teeth giving her that extra added character touch. Her bisque is SO beautiful-----very pale and creamy, with just a soft blushing to her cheeks, ears and chin. Her name is “Honey Bunny” and it does indeed suit her, not only because she has those 2 square bottom teeth, but she gives off the same soft, sweet vibes as her white furry namesake!

She is on a fat composition body jointed at the shoulders and hips, with fat molded bare feet. Bunny is wearing fabulous white antique leather double eyelet tie shoes in perfect condition and antique knit stockings. Her ensemble consists of a wonderful multi-layered frilly, lacy, sassy dress with the original ecru silk ribbon rosette on the collar, and long puffy full sleeves tightened with a horizontal layer of lace around the wrists. This look is finished with a glorious confection of a very finely woven antique straw bonnet lined with matching ecru lace peeking out from under to frame her face, and accented with pale blue silk and silk ribbons on each side.

“Honey Bunny” is irresistible, especially when paired with her LONG time friend, “Sunny” who is pictured with her.
