Enchanting Baby Bo Kaye Boy
This superbly choice example of the Baby Bo Kaye has gorgeous pale pristine bisque with exquisite painting and deep crisp modeling. He stands 9.” tall, and is a VERY Rare version of this mold. As rather than being created as an “All Bisque,” character, with molded bisque hair, he has an open pate bisque head with wig, on a jointed composition body. His body is of excellent quality, fully jointed at the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees with straight wrists, in mint condition. His pate and short blonde mohair wig is original.
“Sunnny” has stunning deepest modeling of his choice character face, with blue sleep eyes, upper and lower finely painted lashes, and “smudgy’ pale eyebrows. His bisque is of the finest quality, pale and flawless and lightly blushed, with no white spots, paint misses or rubs. His mouth is painted in a full “bow” shape in a soft shade of peach, and he has those wonderful “rabbit-like’ 2 square bottom teeth that add so much to his personality!
His cheeks are super duper chubby, and kind of elongated, giving his face an extraordinary squared off shape. This deep modeling of his cheeks and the shape of his face is SO appealing, and adds so much to his presence and uniqueness as a true character!
His clothing is in phenomenal pristine original condition and is original to him as well. Even the gold thread that ties his vest is still intact! ALL of the tiny brass buttons remain in place, 4 on either side of his long waistcoat, and 5 more matching buttons on his vest. The ensemble consists of a long black wool waist-coat with red wool lining and red accents, black wool pants, red wool vest, white cotton shirt, black bow tie, and totally fabulous black upturned hat with original side flourish. He has brown leather antique silver buckle bows shoes, and antique stockings. All in all, his outfit is superb, as is he!
