FRENCH GLOVE BOX WITH LONG SILK GLOVES
This marvelous 3.5" glove box, circa 1880's was made in France. It is covered in a silk organza, and still retains most of the pale blue thin silk ribbon trim, including a tiny gold metal star! The top has a superb graphic of a glove, done in leather that extends the length of the box.
Inside the box, that slides to open, is a pair of "elbow" length or "opera" length French silk gloves in excellent condition for either a Fashion or Bebe' or to put into a trunk as a beautiful addition to her trousseau. These also look wonderful simply carried in her hands as an elegant accessory. Any way you choose to use them, either inside the box or out, this is a fabulous early French piece to be coveted and prized.
