Fabulously Rare Size One French "Paris Bebe"

Sometimes no matter how diligent you are, the truth is that luck can play a very large part in acquiring some of the best pieces you have! It certainly seems unreasonable to actually bother to LOOK for a 9.5" Paris Bebe. Especially the one made by Jumeau, hence having the ultra RARE character face.

To be clear, Danel & Cie copied the face of a Bebe Jumeau and called it a Paris Bebe. Jumeau filed a lawsuit against them, and won the lawsuit. This fantastic doll IS an example of the model made by the French firm of Jumeau, AFTER they won the lawsuit against "Danel & Cie. Bebe". When Jumeau won the lawsuit, in 1891, all they kept of the doll made by Danel was the name of "Paris Bebe". The new model made by Jumeau was an exciting and totally new looking model with a phenomenal character face! EVERYTHING about the expression on the new mold was different and unique. As you can easily see, she does NOT look anything like a tete Jumeau!

"Simmone" has divine character features including a longer and broader nose. She has gorgeous very almond shaped blue paperweight outlined eyes with long and finely painted lashes and feathered eyebrows. Her closed mouth is outlined and goes up at the sides giving her a slight smile. She has beautiful bisque, pierced ears and original earrings. She has her original cork pate and original long blonde mohair wig.

She is marked "Paris Bebe/ Tete Depose" stamped, NOT incised on her head, and a number one. She is on an excellent condition and quality jointed composition original body.

Her pink ensemble is extremely "frou-frou", made with silks, laces, ribbons, bows, unabashedly meant to show her off! Her hat is a gorgeous match, and equally "frou-frou!" And FABULOUS teeny original shoes complete with rosettes.

Price: $10,500
