Large All Bisque Tynie Baby
9" Very Rare Large All Bisque character "Tynie Baby" with extraordinary Very crisp modeling. This "first out of the mold" character is rare not only because of her size, but because she is the wigged version, maintaining her original strawberry-blonde mohair wig. She has pale and creamy fabulous quality bisque that is expertly blushed not only on her fat cheeks and chin, but the elbows, top of the hands, knees, tops of her tiny toes, and even on her "bottom" and belly button, as you can see from her pictures.
She has a swivel neck, jointed arms and legs, and wonderful finite details such as a molded navel and separately molded fingers and toes. Further enhancing the realism, each of her fingers and toes have outlined nails. Even her wrists and ankles are creased, as a real toddler's would be-----in fact, she has fat creases all along the insides of her arms and legs. This example even has dimples on her elbows and "bottom" to accentuate those fat wrinkles! The molding on her forehead and over her eyes is reminiscent of a real baby as well, with all the marvelous "lumps"!! No detail has been over-looked on this choice example of this rare All Bisque.
Her eyes are a beautiful pale blue, sleep perfectly, and are accentuated by superbly painted upper and lower eyelashes. She has a little "kissy" closed mouth and red accent details on her nose and eye corners. She comes with an adorable bonnet, and a marvelous woven wicker cradle with a handle, and silk mattress and pillow. She is perfectly incised with the Horsman mark, Germany, and the year she was made, 1924.
