Super Choice and Rare All Bisque Antique Doll
This is one of those times when the word "rare" although certainly appropriate, is simply just not adequate!
There are SO many attributes this All Bisque has that make it an absolute stand-out, that it seems that we should just list as many adjectives as we can think of out of respect for her!. But that probably still wouldn't say enough without explaining exactly WHY she is so desirable. For starters, She is HUGE, not only in height, as she measures about 10.25" tall, but Helga is a VERY husky girl as well, to say the least! Definitely a gorgeous "plus size" woman and we love her for it! Her body in fact is remarkable, fabulous in every way! She has big fat thighs, and muscular thighs with those "brick" patterned type of high stockings, and black shoes with the little molded bows on them, and tiny heels.
She has a. swivel neck and is jointed at her arms, and legs. She is marked Germany and the mold number 277 and what appears to be a size number as well. The molding of her hair is incredulous, and so well thought out with curls, and flips and comb marks, and swirls and generally superbly coiffed at the front, back and sides. In fact, Please notice how on the sides the artist has even pulled the hair AWAY from the head completely to make it totally realistic! Hope you can see what a work of art this is! They seemed to think of every detail that would make her more delightful, even a marvelous dimple in her chin!
Her mouth is closed and beautifully painted, and the color and quality of her bisque is wonderful, pale and creamy and blushed perfectly as well. BUT-------besides all these other choice and fabulous assets, she has FLOATING eyes!!! Not just the pupil, but the entire eye. This RARE, RARE type of eye is so beautifully executed and adds so much to her personality. They move easily on their own, and also open and close. This is a very different type of eye than any I have ever seen used. I have seen ones that are similar to it, but never ones that are exactly the same. These are created in a much more realistic way, so it truly adds to her character without making her appear too "over the top," And I have never seen ANY of the floating eyes used with an All Bisque!.
She has upper and lower lashes, and those adorable very pale "smudge" eyebrows used in many characters.. She is dressed in an adorable pink dress with a complete lace over-lay, antique panties and an outrageous "show-off" hat!!! Helga is a super rare All Bisque that is super choice and superb whether you are an All Bisque collector or want one to die for All Bisque piece.
