This Magnificent character made by the German firm of Kammer and Rheinhardt is 23" and is a part of their renowned 100 series characters. The very choice and rare size gives her the extra quality of having extraordinarily well defined, CRISP sculpted features that "speak to you," as soon as you see her. She actually looks like, and has the expression of a real child!
Her bisque is creamy pale and flawless, with exquisite coloring and painting, head being fully incised, with the appropriate size number of 60. She is sensationally dressed in her sumptuously colored, FABULOUS, 4 piece fine wool sailor type. ensemble, consisting of a navy blue long sleeve full jacket, with large burnt orange color sailor type collar, cuffs, with finely done white trim accents, pale orange full skirt, and superb matching navy blue tam that is finished with a BIG burnt orange colored bow with a gold fancy pin, that accentuates the entire ensemble perfectly. Underneath, she wears a stunning long sleeved very fancy cream colored silk blouse, antique underwear, and adorable matching leather shoes.
The wig----the wig is to die for! It is a spectacular antique mohair "tail wig." of light brunette color with blonde and strawberry highlights, These old unbelievably beautiful "extra length" wigs are SO rarely found at all, but particularly in this remarkable state. It is full, thick, in superb condition of a stunning color, and as you can see, travels all the way down her back.
She has fat cheeks, a beautifully painted BIG SMILING open-CLOSED mouth modeled and painted to perfection, totally expressive sparkling brown sleep eyes that light up her face, with upper and lower lashes and perfectly executed multi-stroke brows in a pale light brown color that were obviously done by a true artist with a light touch so not to over-power the other features. And let’s not over look those "punched in" dimples, and life-like crinkles appropriately place at her eyes and corners of her mouth.
She is on her original and excellent K*R completely jointed heavy toddler body with slant hip jointing, with no repainting.
She is absolutely choice and superb! THE best example I have ever seen. She exudes personality and presence. Big, gorgeous, rare characters are always a find, and no company is more famous for the art of the character, than Kammer and Rheinhardt!
